Hi there, I’m Stacy.
I’ve been described as “an intuitive coach and facilitator who brings compassion, joy, and safety to get right to the heart of things.”
I'm a leadership coach, facilitator, and former community radio DJ who has always believed meaningful conversations can change people, teams, and communities. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people can explore different perspectives, identify common ground, and move forward together.
Whether I'm coaching an individual leader or facilitating a team retreat, I help people tune into what they need, what matters most, and how they want to move forward. My work helps sensitive high achievers, teams, and organizations build trust, navigate change, and create meaningful impact without sacrificing their values or their joy.
I believe the world is a better place when caring, big-hearted people give themselves permission to honor what they need and want without carrying the massive weight of guilt, burnout, or unrealistic expectations.
When we include ourselves in our own care, everyone benefits.
Over the years, I've partnered with amazing individuals, teams, and organizations who want to make a meaningful difference in their communities and the world while building healthier, more sustainable ways of working and leading.
I also collaborate with two innovative leadership development organizations: The RoundTable Institute, based in Austin, Texas, and The Firefly Group, based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I'm currently studying with David Bedrick, author, teacher, and founder of The UnShaming Way. Through his certification program, I'm learning powerful somatic approaches that deepen my work with both coaching clients and teams.
Outside of my professional work, I facilitate a free weekly hiking grief group for survivors of pregnancy loss through a partnership with E-Motion. And when I'm not coaching, facilitating, or on the trail, you'll likely find me planning my next travel adventure, especially if it includes live music!

Before working as a coach and facilitator, I served in a variety of leadership roles, mostly in nonprofit organizations.
I’ve worked with sexual assault survivors, inmates at San Quentin State Prison, individuals and families seeking affordable housing, people who were unemployed and under-employed, and even the author and icon Mama Gena.
The common thread between survivor advocacy, restorative justice, affordable housing, stable employment, women’s empowerment, coaching, and facilitation is that while the people and circumstances and goals were different, I was always gently guiding people towards their own sense of personal fulfillment.
I earned my Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco in 2011.

For a long time, I believed caring for other people meant putting myself last. Learning about coaching changed that. It taught me that including ourselves in our own care isn't selfish. It's what allows us to contribute in meaningful and sustainable ways.

Born and raised in the mountains of Southwest Colorado, I grew up with a love of lip sync dance parties, exploring nature, and studying people.
I've always been fascinated by human interactions and even at a young age, my late Grandpa said I had a contagious enthusiasm (he called me a "spark plug").
I came into this world with a knack for tuning in to what lights people up and reflecting it back to them.
In my continuing commitment to growth, I’ve had the great honor of training and becoming a certified professional coach with the Co-Active Training Institute. In 2025, I became a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation.
To honor my love of learning, I studied mental fitness with the creator of Positive Intelligence, somatic coaching with Strozzi Institute, compassionate inquiry with Dr. Gabor Maté, heart-centered leadership with Danielle LaPorte, Unshaming and somatic coaching with David Bedrick, facilitation with The Firefly Group and Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) for Coaches with The Roundtable Institute.I attended LEAD Athens' class of 2024-2025 with 34 other local Athens changemakers dedicated to making Athens an even better place to be. I was honored to be given the Inclusiveness award by my peers at our graduation in April 2025.
To learn more about me and dig deeper into the life experiences that inspired me to work with high achievers and people pleasers, listen to this episode of my podcast, Outgrow the Grind.

I've criss-crossed the United States a few times with stints in some of the best cities in the US (including San Francisco, NYC, and Portland). I’m now living in Athens, Georgia.
I've had the great honor of supporting two of my favorite people as they were dying. I don't think there's any bigger honor in life than to care for the people we love. My mentor Jaimee Karroll-Smith, passed in 2013 and my grandpa Harold Brown, passed in 2021.
In the last few years, I've rekindled my love of dance by being part of a local adult dance troupe and traveling cross-country to dance with the Awakening Showgirls in San Francisco. I've danced in two Carnaval Parades in San Francisco and I’ve loved the playfulness and connections that’ve come with it!
